So like recently I was planning on getting Assassin’s Creed 2 on my ps3 until it happened… mum took it off me since I managed to squeeze in 39 hours of Modern Warfare 2 in two days. Not my best but I see why she did that to me.
So my dreams have been shattered since and waiting on my tests results to see if I “have earned the right” to play my ps3 again (even though I payed for the bloody thing). Till then, I had to find another way of play such a marvelous game. I found a decent solution, PLAY IT ON THE PC! Even though my PC isn’t state of the art. It had more then enough junk in its trunk to pack a punch at this game.
I managed to find the Skidrow Version of AC2 on PirateBay. They said it took them quite a while to make a crack for this game because it basically required you to have internet connection at all times while you play the game. Thankfully, they managed to create one which attracted more than 800 leechers in the first hour of release.
Downloading
You’ll need to download two thing here. Thats unless you already have number 2 on your computer
- Assassin’s Creed 2 download link: Assasins Creed torrent
- Daemon Tools lite download link: Daemon Tools lite v4.35.5 torrent
Just the crack
For those that downloaded a version without a crack, we are hosting it for you right here:

Installing Assasin’s Creed 2
First I’ll show you guys how to install Assassin’s Creed 2.
It took me around 4-5 hours to download the entire game. I stood at around 200-340kb/s
- Turn on Daemon Tools Lite.
- Mount the file name called “sr-acii”
- Access the folder to where you mounted it and open up the UPDATE folder on the DVD.
- Run the v1.01exe and let it automatically update.
- Go back to the mount folder and access the “Skidrow folder” or extract the crack from the rar file we provide
- Copy all of the content from that folder into the “Ubisoft Game Launcher” folder”
- Access the Assassin’s Creed II Folder and run “AssassinsCreedIIGame”
- Play!

I did edit out the Daemon Tools part because we recommend to use daemon tools in every installation guide. However, i did paste the daemon tools in your other draft (since that was empty anyway) So if you want to create a Daemon Tools guide with that that would be awesome!

hello,
i have done as you said and all works well. i only have one problem and don’t know how to fix it. while playing ac2 it constantly minimizes my game to the taskbar.
does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Yea, it does that for me too. I don’t know if there is a fix for that yet but for now, you’re just going to have to put up with it.

I think you might have made a small mistake during step 6 and 7. The crack disables the CDKey need.
no i mounted then disconectet internet then installed then added the ubisoft luncher the the crack

well i just finished downloading and i put the crack in the ”ubisoft game launcher” folder. i updated the game. when i start the game i see the ubisoft icon and another thing and then it stop no windows messenger at all..i dont know how to fix this! can someone help me?

Mr/Ms M. When you are installing AC2 you need to be offline, i.e. unplug/disconnect any connection to the Internet from your computer.
Additional Notes
Pleae make sure that you have installed the latest version of DirectX as you may be missing some critical components that prevents you from running the game.
It would be most useful if you could paste a screenshot of the error message and your computer specs.
Instructions
First get the error message up. then press the PrtScn button. Next you need to open an image editor application such as MS Paint and save the image (preferably as JPEG) and upload the image to an image hosting server such as tinypic.com. Then paste the given HTML link here.
We can then proceed to assist you in troubleshooting this problem.
I didn’t unplug my internet while installing and everything worked perfectly.
Oh! Interesting…
In that case I can only assume that Mr/Ms. M followed the instructions in the wrong order and needed to update the game first, and then copy over the files to the Ubisoft Game Launcher directory.
In this case, reinstall AC2, use the update, and then paste the files.

Uh may sound stupid… but is your pc connected to the internet? (as it says that?)
never heard an error like this before…
the original game does requires internet connection to play but the crack offered by maxpower is suppose to bypass that problem?

Ah this is frustrating. I can start and play with no problems. Until i reached the Paperboy mission. After i get back to Giovanni and enter the door… the game crashed during the cutscene. I’ve tried this with skidrow’s torrent and the multi9′s torrent. Both had the same results. My PC meets the minimum system requirements with Win XP SP3. I’m running on Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS.
Can u guys help and tell me what’s wrong?
Okay nevermind. i’ve solved the problem. As ridiculous as it sounds, i solved the problem by turning the multisampling all the way UP just before that cutscene. (And i’ve been playing this on low settings just to make gameplay smooth.) Ah i don’t understand. Haha.
Anyways, i’ve been playing this for 3 hours straight with no hiccups. Thanx guys for the installation guide =D

When i try to run the 1.01 installer in the UPDATE folder after i choose english a bar runs and i get an error message. it says:
“Could not retrieve installation folder! Installation will be aborted.”
what did i do wrong?
i feel stupid… i forgot to install it first. nevermind. today hasnt been kind to me logic wise

Okay, I figured out what I was stupidly doing wrong. Incidentally, now that I have the game running, it’s going impossibly slow. Is it because my computer isn’t meant to do such detailed graphics? Excuse my ignorance, I’m relatively new to computer gaming.

Hello,
when i extract the skidrow folder, my antivirus delets the ubiorbitapi.dll, so i cant move the files to the ubisoft game launcher folder. I tried to download ubiorbitapi.dll from different websites , but all with viruses so they get deleted…
can anybody help?
i didn get the ubiorbitapi thing from here since i borrowed got it from a fren but i’m facing the same problem here!! n mine said dat de ubiorbitapi is only a read-only file n cant be copied! plus my fren said i’m supposed to paste it in de ac 2 file
it will be helpful if some one can get us a file dat doesnt contain any virus…

My computer detects ubiorbitapi_r2.dll as a virus…Though it works well after I turn off my antivirus..Is this bad????

Well, try getting a decent virus scan like AVG. If you dont mind, you can just play with avira off.

ok ive done the first 4 step correctly, and then forgot to copy and paste the crack into the ubisoft game launcher folder. i realized this when it asked for a key….
i watched a vid to show me how to do the next steps correctly but when i try to play it still asks for the key……..
do i have to reinstall or something like that? what do i need to do!?!? please help
