Assuming you have the counterstrike 1.6 server installed you might want to add some bots. This could be useful when playing coop on the network or because your friends suck and are not cool enough for counterstrike. Either way its a great addition to your server and you can enable and disable the bots anyway.
Installing the bots
You can get the file here
- Extract zbots.zip to your cstrike folder (C:\Program Files\Valve\cstrike if you used my server guide)
- Go to desktop, right click on cs 1.6 icon, and click on properties, add this line at the end of target, make sure u leave a space between whats there and what u r adding:+localinfo mm_gamedll dlls/zbotcz.dll
Example : “C:\Program Files\VALVe\hlds.exe” -nomaster -game cstrike -insecure +localinfo mm_gamedll dlls/zbotcz.dl
3. Save it.
SinglePlayer instructions
Inside the game, press “H” and you’ll get a bot menu on your left side.
Dedicated Server instructions
Go to console and type bot_add. You can also just type bot there, and the full list will come out.
After adding the first bot, you will have to wait for a few minutes to let the bots analyze the whole map.
You might feel laggy while analyzing. (next time you play the map again, you don’t have to wait anymore)
