Great game, simple gameplay and awesome storyline! In my opinion this is an awesome follow up for Mass Effect. Still I understand that you would like to try the game, before actually buying it so here is a simple installation guide, specially made for you!
About the game
Two years after Commander Shepard repelled invading Reapers bent on the destruction of organic life, a mysterious new enemy has emerged. On the fringes of known space, something is silently abducting entire human colonies. Now Shepard must work with Cerberus, a ruthless organization devoted to human survival at any cost, to stop the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced.
To even attempt this perilous mission, Shepard must assemble the galaxys most elite team and command the most powerful ship ever built. Even then, they say it would be suicide. Commander Shepard intends to prove them wrong.

Downloading
First of all your going to have to download the game, we have selected the following two from thepiratebay for you, both contain the files needed to crack the game.
- Torrent 1 (this is the rarred version, so a bit smaller)
- Torrent 2 (this is the iso version, so a bit larger)
Crack
For those that only need the crack files because they downloaded a different version here is a direct download link:
- Mass Effect 2 - Crack (4.0 MiB, 173 hits) - Registration required.
Installation & Cracking
- Extract or unrar, the iso should pop out (optional
- Mount the dvd 1 iso using Daemon Tools
- Right click on the mounted dvd 1 iso and press explore
- Go to the crack folder (Razor1911)
- Copy all files from the crack folder and paste them anywhere temporarily
- Start the installation
- When prompted for a serial run the keygen, grab your serial and fill it in
- When prompted for dvd 2, mount that (NEVER mount 2 iso’s at the same time)
- Continue and finish the installation
- When the installation is finished go to the crack folder (Razor1911) again
- Copy all files, except for the keygen, and paste them into the “BINARIES” directory in your installation folder
- Well thats it, your done and ready to get your game on!
Known errors
Error: “failed to initialize the physics system. Please ensure you have an updated version”
Solution: Sometimes, you may end up with this message even if you have PhysX system software installed on your system (seems to have only with some NVIDIA cards). The only possible solution we have found so far is to uninstall the existing PhysX version and installing from the setup that came with the Mass Effect 2 DVD disk.

I downloaded the game and started playing ,at first there was no problem but when i was near the ending ,going through a massrelay not the blue one ,the red one ,the viedo hangs and i cant countinue playing,please help.
Isnt it possible to skip video’s? that might work… otherwise i really dont know…

Okay, I fallowed the steps like always and when i go to start the game it automatically stops responding and just closes.

THAT HAPPENS TO ME TOO!It starts…i press start game…and then appears the loading screen…but it stops responding…im going to delete it …this sucks

I have nothing to extract or unrar from the first torrent.
Right click any of the files, and press open with winrar (select the “Always open the filetype with…” checkbox)
it should open, close it again and right click any of the files and press “extract here”
does that work for you?
doing that on rzr-mae2.nfo i get The archive is either unknown format or damaged.
im opening with winRAR archiver
and any of the other files?
because thats an (quote):

and when i right click any of the files instead of extract options im gettin add or compress options.

I dont know how to get a screenshot up, but i think i may have gotten it. I opened all the other files in winRAR and am now extracting them into a new folder. In the progress box i do see a rzr-me2a.iso followed by a percentage. Il post what happens after when the time comes.

How long is the extraction supposed to take? after about 20 minutes or so it asks me if i want to replace rzr-me2a.iso with the existing rzr-me2a.iso. When i hit yes it goes for another 20 minutes and asks again. i have done it twice now, the third time instead of replacing i renamed it rzrme2a2.iso. Should i keep replacing or keep renaming?
No, dont replace, you keep extracting the same iso! Remove them all except one and mount that!!

when i run the game an error occurs, it says —

When I start the installation of the game, it ask for the second DVD, and I can’t go farther… what do I do?
Nevermind, I found out but I have another problem. I want to import my character from Mass Effect 1 to the second game. But when I select the save directory, it does nothing, what do I do?
Nevermind again! I found it!
Mount the 2nd iso when it askes for that. never mount 2 iso’s at the same time (well, i wouldnt recommend it because it often causes installation problems)

hey, it keeps saying “failed to authenticate the disc. Please insert the correct disc and try again”. It happens when I try to launch the game. i have done all the steps and it still does that. Please help me solve this problem.
I have moved all the files(rar) in the crack to the Mass Effect 2(My directory) folder. Do I need to move the ISO files in there as well? BTW, I didnt use they keygen or crack provided on this page, I just used one of the serials provided. Please let me know how I can fix this. Thanks in advance!

one more thing…i’ve looked everywhere for the original file “MassEffect2″ (the one that is suposed to be replaced by the crack) and didn’t find anything…Tried renaming the Crack file for “MassEffect2Launcher” (which is the only thing I see in the installation directory).The only files I see in the razor1911 stuff is the keygen and the crack “MassEffect2″

I downloaded the “Mass_Effect_2-Razor1911″ torrent.
I recommend redownloading, most likely your download has been corrupted…
also, i dont know if you mount with daemon tools? but i recommend trying that before redownloading.

You need to extract the crack file to the binaries directorey in the system directory, so in your installation folder/binaries
that should solve your problem.

Ok, I have a problem that doesn’t seem to have any other solution than “Get this freaking goddam file downloaded”.
Since I installed the game, I’ve got many error messages blocking the starting of the game like “this file’s missing on your computer”. So I try to fix de problem by getting those .dll files on the web. But there is one I can’t find called “umbra.dll”.
Does anyone of you have this file on his computer ?
Is there another solution ?

when i tried to extract the iso in the first dvd folder it says that the file is corrupt and that H:\Mass_Effect_2-Razor1911\DVD1\rzr-me2a.001.p00 is absent. can someone plz help im annoyed at how long it took to download this and if it doesnt work i’ll feel like i wasted my time. can someone help plz? and thanks

Well…. no. First, I can’t do this again, It’s to long, and then, I got the same kind of problems with ME1. I managed to fix it. So, this must be coming from something different from the game itself.
Well tbh i really dont know, and i cant find anything about your problem or even anything similar anywhere either…

I found something similar with “dragon age” but actually, nothing fits with my case. I think everything is lost. v_v
Hmmm have you ever tried reinstalling windows…? because it this happends with more games you might just have a corrupted windows install. that doesnt happen allot but if you updated the latest drivers and everything i wouldnt really know what else it can be.

I bought this computer recently, so, I hope this isn’t a corrupted windows install. Anyway, I think it’s just coming from 7.
Maybe I should install Vista and play games that doesn’t explicitly mention working on 7 on it.
I didn’t intall new drivers, or anything else since I bought my computer.
i recommend downloading the latest updates than, not every pc comes with the latest updates.

Hey Demon, I followed your advice word by word but am still unable to launch the game.
Crack is in the Binaries folder; when I click on it, it says “the program can’t start because nvtt.dll is missing from your computer…” I managed to find the nvtt.dll and place it in windows/system32, yet it doesn’t seem to be reading it.
If I try autorunning from the disc; 1 or 2, both say something like ‘authentication process failed’
Any help????
Sometimes you’ve got the wrong file. Those files like “nvtt.dll” are just coming from softwares wich are more or less recent.
I had to download this file before the “umbra.dll”.
Here is the “nvtt.dll” I download. Just try to replace youre by this one :

i encountered the same problem, but i was able to solve it by installing the game straight into the C: drive instead of on a user. The thing i did was that during the installation i clicked Custom install instead of express install then choosing to install it straight unto C:

I downloaded it, but when i install it, at the end, my PC freeze. When i restarted it game works, until the movie when they save shepard ( at the beginning).

The virtual device of Daemon tools treats both .iso files as the disk 2. Then a message appears: “failed to authenticate the disc. Please insert the correct disc and try again”.
I tried to put all the files in the Binaries folder, but either i do it or not, it never works, and the same message appears again and again.

Probally means your 2nd disc didnt properly unpack. Recheck the files you downloaded and extract the disc again.

I succesfully mounted and installed the first iso, but when it asks for rzr-me2b.iso, i mount it using Daemon tools lite, but when i click retry on the installation button, it pauses for a couple seconds, then opens my D: drive to look for it in there. I have it mounted to Drive F: but i cant get it to look for the file in there and it simply continues to look for the file in Drive D: I disabled the drive and tried again, but it simply says retry over and over. Any idea how i can get it to look in the correct drive?

I moved the crack to my bioware/masseffect2/binaries folder, but it still says failed to authenticate disc when I try to run it. The guide says copy all the files, I just saw a keygen, and the crack file. Is there more to copy?

Hi i have a problem I cant even get close to playing this game lol whenever i try to mount and run the setup i get an error saying
“The version of this file is not compatible with version of Windows you’re running. Check your computer’s system information to see whether you need an x86 (32 bit) or x64 (64 bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher”
I’ve looked every where online for this with no luck. i just recently got this laptop and am running windows 7 home edition 64 bit. its pissing me off lol
and another thing i tried to go to properties and change the compatibility to xp and windows 2000 with no luck. I’m pretty sure mass effect 2 works for 64 bit idk why im getting this stupid error and its not just mass effect 2 its bioshock2 and assassins creed 2. I appreciate any help.

i didnt download 1 of these torrents but i downloaded (Mass_Effect_2-Razor1911.5297589.TPB) seems it didnt have any .iso files and “dvd1″ and “dvd2″ was in a folder already and it didnt need extracting. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what to do with file types “rzr-me2a.001″ etc

I have downloaded all the files from TPB and when I got to extract with WinRar it says its going to take 24hrs…!!! wtf the whole dl didnt take that long, anyone know how to fix this issue?

Ok! I managed to run after some problems.
When you move the crack to the binaries folder, you can’t just open the cd directly as a zip file, you need to mount the cd and chose to open it… then you can move the crack and it will work just fine.
