Milk, I hope you like it because the splinter cell concept is getting milked out for all that it is worth. I case you didn’t know this is the seventh splinter cell game since 2002. Splinter cell is Microsofts answer to Sony’s Metal Gear Solid. This means that stealth and spying play a large role in the game.
So lets have a quick look at what this title brings to the table. You now have the Mark and Execute feature. It allows you to distract a guard by shooting out a light and then making quick work of him. The other feature is that guards will now assume that you are where they last saw you, allowing you to flank them which is pretty fun for a couple of times. You can also “blend in” with crowds, which I though was a rip-off from Assassins Creed, but whatever.

Installing & Cracking
First you need to download and unpack and mount the game. It took me around 2 hours to download the entire game. I stood at around 1.8MB/s and the unpacking took almost 5 minutes.
- Turn on Daemon Tools Lite.
- Mount the file ending with .iso
- Access the folder to where you mounted it and doubleclick the autostart file.
- Install the game
- Go back to the mount folder and access the “Skidrow folder” or extract the crack from the rar file we provided.
- Copy all of the content from that folder into the Splinter Cell game folder (something like C:Program Files..)
- Access the Splinter Cell Folder and run the crack, gu.exe, you copied into it (.srcsystemgu.exe).
- Play!
Known Errors
- Open AVG User Interface.
- Go to Tools -> Advanced settings -> Resident Shield -> Exceptions -> Add Path
- Find and select both the game folder and the crack folder.
- Apply -> OK.
- All files should now be moveable from the crack folder to the game folder and “Error 2″ should stop as well.
- Open the the folder where u installed the game
- Open the src folder
- Open the system folder
- Rename (or delete) the systemdetection.dll file

I try reinstall Ubi game launcher, whole game, but still the same problem.
I had installed AC II with server emulator, maybe this could be problem?!

Alright run the gu.exe in the .\src\system\ folder. I think you did not apply the patch correctly. You did replace the old executable files right?
I would suggest that you first get the game to work and then screw around with the server emulator.

Did you try to run the gu,exe direcrly from the folder? And winddows7 32bit should not be an issue!
could you also try this and let me know if this works:
Go to Ubisofts website and make an account.
Go to your SCC directory again. Open Skidrow.ini and fill in the field with the ubisoft account name and pass then try to run the game.

Error code 2 could be the result of an access denial problem caused by anti-virus software. If you have AVG turned on add it to the PUP (Possibly Unwanted Program) list.

My WASD keys are not working instead the Arrows are working in its place…as a matter of fact none of the letter keys work.tried PS2 and USB keyboard.Pls help.

the only option i can set in options is arrow keys.Its like the game totally ignores my letters keys and Num keys next to it.Shift ,ALt and Ctrl all work.Except for the main keys.Very frusrating.Checked the Ini files none show the arrows as assigned.In detail-My move forward in options is “W” but i can move forward with arrow key.Very weird.
OMG! finally found someone with the same problem as me.
only ctrl, space, 1, enter and arrow keys work. tried doing the first mission but couldn’t move. when i press space it looks as if he attempts to jump but his feet are glued to the floor. i went to the control setting and tried to remap my keys but at that screen that says “please press the input button that you want to map or press [ESC] to cancel” but then ALL of my keys were unresponsive.
Ive tried reinstalling but nothing seems to fix it
in ProfileDefaultsPC.ini there doesnt seem to be anything bound to movement keys. just gota find the key translations to input the movement keys into the file

If your controls dont work, then just reinstall the c++ distribute and the direct X from the support directory in the ISO!

well. the ProfileDefaultsPC.ini for me did not have the movements configured for mine as well (it was missing W, S, A, D) and when I tried to add in the movements it told me to look for EngineClasses.h which is supposed to be part of the C++ distribute…
If yours still dont work, then uninstall the game, reinstall the game, reinstall the C++ distribute, Direct X and try again..

Tried running in various compatibility modes but obviously not the problem.

It recommends that I install ‘Windows XP service pack 2′ but I’m running Windows 7 so I don’t think it will be compatible…

I can’t because it’s an unregistered copy (build 7600). I think thats where the problem might be. I could download a Windows XP bootable iso, burn it to a disk, then make a partition on my HDD and install it, but I’m not that desperate yet.

Could you guys try to delete the systemdetection.dll in the src/system folder?
I couldn’t find systemdetection.dll in that folder. I did find one called ubiorbitapi_r2.dll which i deleted (now replaced) but it still had the same problem. As well as this, when i click on some of the other .exe links, like the one called SKIDROW (its the SKIDROW version) an error message saying that it is not a supported win32 application pops up. Very strange… and annoying.
This kind of error shows when your files were downloaded wrong!

Ok i used winrar to try to install this game and was getting the same error as above. Downloaded Demon Lite and used that instead and everything is great now. So luke did u use winrar or did u use Demon Lite? Every game that i had was giving me that error but now they all install just fine using Demon Lite. Only problem is mouse sensitivity is really slow and is turned all the way up.
I think I used winrar. I’ll try tomorrow using Demon light and if that dosent work i’ll download the main directory files.

I downloaded the game from piratebay.org. The torrent was from skidrow. I installed the game and applied the crack. I copied all the files from the crack folder and pasted it in the game folder. I replaced the files. But when I start the game, I get nothing. No error, no game nothing. I downloaded the crack files separately. This time when I replaced the files I get an error saying that “lead engine file is missing” . But when I checked the file lead engine in the splinter cell game folder its right there. I use nvidia graphics card. I was able to play mass effect 2 in high settings. Why am I unable to play this one. Please help me.

My problem is that I do all the things as you said (install it, copy the src folder from SKIDROW to C:/Program Files/…) and when I launch the gu.exe from the Splinter Cell’s folder, the game seems to start but it doesn’t work.
It tries to open the program, but the window opens and close in a second, I have an Asus M51Va, with 4GB, Windows 7 Ultimate 32bits, ATI Radeon 3650, Core 2 Duo.
I have tried thousands of times and I still can’t play, Last week I updated my laptop to Windows 7 from Vista, where I had the same error…
So other then the game not starting you get not serious errors? Did you install your video drivers?

Maybe im not understanding the way this forum works…if so excuss me. I have posted a comment or rather a reply to the exact problem i am having. Then get 6 mails saying i have a reply….yet no reply. Please help someone this is extremely frustrating after downloading a 8Gig file. Not to knock anyone but this is my first SKIDROW download and very dissappointed , 1.Password where you have to do some stupid survey which wants all your PVT info.2. Cant get the game installed. Wayne i had the same errors on all my downloaded games is i used Winrar. I switched to Demon Lite and every thing is fine now. I looked for days for help on this error, the only thing i could figure out was that is has to do with Windows Installer and thats about it. Now all the games are working fine using Demon Lite. I had never used it till now.

Did you browse to your download folder using daemon tools and there is no file you can mount??? does your download contain rar files? you need to extract one then.

I don’t have video my graphic drivers for windows 7 , but I don’t need them because the laptop have installed them for me.
When I go to the device manager it recognizes my ATI Radeon HD 3650, but I tried to install Ati Catalyst Control Center for windows 7, but it doesn’t install it, I’ve read that ATI CCC gives problems to when installing, can anyone help me?
The problem might be that you need to install the propper drivers for your video card.

can someone help me? is it a problem with ubisoft games or is it my comp?
i can install every game except Ubisoft games. When i mount the iso (games from ubisoft such as Assassins Creed 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction), i can’t seem to be able to install it. I can see the splash screen when i mount the iso, and when i click on “install”, nothing happens. I checked with my windows task manager, and it says there’s no programs running at all!
I have checked my system, and i can confirm that they meet the requirements for the above games. I just can’t install these 2 games. I’m running on Win XP SP3. Someone please help!

Are you using any anti virus software? Perhaps turn that off. You might not have enough permission to actually launch/install the game

I reinstalled my system and installed the latest drivers for my gpu & installed DirextX9.0c and after installing the game and copying the crack files to the games directory and starting the game i see the 1st four splash screens (Ubisoft, Splinter cell, Unreal, and a screen with some text) and after the screen goes black with a three dots circling in the right bottom corner with music playing and after it stays there foreever and nothing happens & i have to restart the PC.
That sounds like a serious error. Darn, thats typically one of those things were you need to update the game and get a new crack.. Im going to check out if i can find a solution.
I installed the game in win7 on the 2nd HDD i have and it is working on it though it gave some crashing problem for which i installed the latest GPU drivers and now it is workin perfectly. Well if u (Herion) can find the solution for XP, i would be really happy and appericiate ur efforts.

Hi, i have installed and unistalled this game about 8 times now and i keep getting the same error code 2 problem. I do not have avg but norton 360 antivirus. I have completely disabled norton and my windows firewall and i still get the repeated error code 2 message. I have the game mounted as an iso with magiciso. I have copied the gu.exe, conviction_game.exe into the src->system folder as I have been told to so. I then copied the ubiobitapi_r2.dll application extension into the Ubisoft Game Launcher folder as i have also been told to do so. It is skidrows version of the game and many have said it works fine but i can not seem to get it to work. I have read all the comments here and tried everything even spent an hour-2 searching for other solutions and still get the same error code 2. Please if someone can help me right a response! I really want to play this game.

Alright, i’ve finally found the solution to game crashing upon game launch. Simply delete systemdetection.dll in src/system folder. Enjoy!

Please note that It will work but the game will freeze from time to time but it starts again after a while. Well, there is a possibility that this might happen.

Try disabling your anti-virus first. Most of crack files are reported as virus when it clearly is not.

I have checked that when I open the file gu.exe (yes, I have deleted the systemdetection.dll), the Windows Task Manager shows a Process called conviction_game, but in a second it shows like a window trying to show up, and then the process is gone….
Still don’t know why it happens….
Launch conviction_game.exe and not gu.exe
After you cracked it, or so you thought.
Copy ubiorbitapi_r2.dll from the SKIDROW crack into
Program Files/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher.
Then launch conviction_game.exe
It seems that some instructions doesn’t mention this.

Normally it does not ask for a product key IF you cracked it. It will ask if it is not cracked yet.

okay i managed to get to play it after getting all the instructions right. windows xp sp3 and my system does indeed meet the requirements to play it. The only problem is that it freezes from time to time. any ideas what i should do?

it doesn’t crash. it just freezes for about 30 seconds…usually it occurs during cutscenes, and there’s like a pause. kinda frustrating, as it interrupts the gameplay. also, i realised that when i alert all guards in an area and they start shooting at me, there’s pauses here and there. otherwise, when i approach using stealth without alerting the guards, everything runs smoothly. could it be due to my gpu? i updated the latest driver. mine’s NVidia Geforce 8400 GS. or i need to update to a better graphics card? i checked that my system’s meets the requirements for the game.
*upgrade to a better graphics card, i mean.
Hmmm well the requirements listed here are the absolute minimal… so id recommend trying with lower setting and see if that helps.

okay! hereby i announce that i have solved the problem! for those who experience stuttering gameplay and the game freezes from time and time again. The way to solve this, is to download skidrow’s 1.02 update. It’s about 100mb in size, and is available in torrent format. You can just google it. Once you update it with this patch, you can then start playing it! Smoothly!
I’ve been playing it for 4 hours straight, and i must say, this is simply an awesome game. It’s like a whole new different ballgame, very different from the past installments of Splinter Cell. There’s this one level i particular enjoyed, one where u have got to execute 3 spies in a crowded amusement park without alerting anyone. That was hell of an experience.

I already downloaded 1.02 update from TPB but it was like 25mb only. thanks.
sorry, my bad. the 1.02 update is actually 25mb. after i unzipped it, i put it in the same folder as the zip file folder, plus the other normal gu and crack files. Hence, the folder size totaled up to 100mb. It’s the same update as the one u got. 25mb. But i got it from Demonoid.com. After updating to it…do u still get the in-game freezes?
What i did was, after i updated to 1.02, i copied over the skidrow crack (the one i got from this website) and overwrite over it again. And then, i clicked the gu file and then got the game started with the conviction_game.exe file. And I got to play it smoothly! =D

Hi Amirshearer, are you using a mobile graphic card or desktop graphic card? Then what is its dedicated memory? I got a problem here. Mine is NVidia Geforce 8400M GS, is a laptop mobile graphic card with 128MB dedicated shared memory up to 895MB. When i launch the game, it says error that 256MB memory is required. After i clicked continue and the game didn’t launch as it is. Does this mean 128MB graphic is not enough? Even with shared memory? Anyone knows? Please help! thanks!
My laptop can run assassin creed 2 instead, which is required relatively the same minimum requirement. That proved my assumption is wrong.

My suggestion for guys who r facing problem playing the game on XP should switch to WIN7 if they can as on WIN7 it is playing smmothly for me and on XP i even cant start the game.

i cant still play the game
i cracked it and i did all the things..and it starts i see a video and then it crash and i get a windows message appcrash! anyone know how to fix this?? i get it by a few games its so annoying! i have vista home premium sp 2 <<< it sucks!! lol
Do you see the whole video? And you are sure you applied the crack correctly? Could you try the following:
# Open the src folder
# Open the system folder
# Rename (or delete) the systemdetection.dll file

yes im sure and ye i see the whole video and then i see a load icon. i already deleted the systemdetection.dll file. when i load the game it says can not find the systemdection.dll file but then it loads the game and a few minutes later it crash

I’ve downloaded the skidrow release, and the game doesnt respond to my keyboards WASD keys, so I cant move at all.

i installed the game followed everything perfectly but when i start the game it stops after showing online not rated by ESRB it just shows that 3 dots which will be rotating forever…
Same thing happens to me on XP even after trying all the solutions mentioned above in this forum.
so u say it wont work with xp huh..

In my case, before I deleted systemdetection.dll and ran, the game crashed on launch, as described in the second error.
After I delete the dll, a window pops up, saying it can’t find systemdetection.dll. I press ok, the game still lauches, for a second only, and crashes like before.
Any solution here?
Try installing 1.02 update and see what it does.
I even installed the patch 1.02 and 1.03 but to no avail.
New patch requires new crack… and we dont have that jet…
i suggest reinstalling the game and dont update it!

I actually got it to run once using the skidrow crack. However, it was choppy and so i downloaded latest drivers as well as updated to version 1.02. Now I’m always stuck with the loading screen with the 3 dots? My internet connection is online and I meet the minimum specs (exceed it actually). Any ideas?
I’d recommend following Demon’s advice here and reinstall the game. The choppy performance can be due to a number of factors so we will need to see your specs in order to make an evaluation of what performance you can expect with low, mid-range to high game settings.

Now I have a new problem.. I now get a “out of range” error on my screen everytime i try and start up…
Since you updated the game, you need a new launcher…
i suggest reinstalling the game and dont update it than before a launcher becomes available

Hi, lokstok.
The problem is in relation to your display settings. When you get an “out of range” or “out of signal range” error message it usually means that the resolution (screen size) the game is set to is either too low or too high for your display hardware to handle.
For the game to work you will need to set the screen size to one that your monitor and hardware can handle. If there is a utility for your graphics card to manually configure the resolution for a particular game (such as Nvidia), go to the graphics control panel and add the application with the appropriate settings. Usually in Monitor -> Settings you can see the supported resolutions that it can handle.
If the above option does not exist, try “rolling back” the drivers that you updated and check to see if that is the problem. You can always update the drivers again, so it seems like a reasonable attempt at troubleshooting.
Please reply with your system specs and we will do our best to fix your problem.
Thanks for the reply. I tried to run it on different resolutions but it still came out the same way. However, a clean install solved the out range problem. But I’m back to square one it seems. I can’t get this to work. Previously my problem was not being able to go past the 3 rotating dots loading screen (even with an internet connection), now I’m hanging on the 2nd splashscreen (one where there is a tom clancy logo). I’ve tried using the skidrow release, then tried it with his 1.02 crack and , so im left pretty much desperate. I guess I’ll just have to play ac2 again..haha

Hello, so i had cracked, made a path to what i beleive is the cracked folder to the game folder, then i try gu.exe, and it still says error code 2. Please, i need help. i have tried this for the past 3 hours
cracked folder? you mean installation folder right?
Oh and did you disable your antivirus before running the crack?

please help, i already install the game, first its not working (error 2) so to solve that i disable my antivirus (mcafee) temporary, so i set it on after i restart the PC. after that i copy all the crack file and play the game (working). But after i restart the computer one of the crack file got detected and deleted, so i must disable it again and copy it again to play, but after i restart it back to the problem, please help thanks guys.
Add the crack to the exeptions list in your antivirus program

hi i installed da game 4m a pirate dvd i did everything but had problem with the ubiorbitapi_r2.dll but with this forum i solved it n past it to Ubisoft Game Launcher foulder i read all da comments n i did wat u all said 2 do in avg anti-virus.. but still in having da same problem when ever i click on gu.exe or conviction_game.exe it says ubisoft game launcher error: error code 2. then i deleted systemdetection.dll then it said cant not find systemdetection.dll. then i past it 4m backup n download Splinter Cell: Conviction SP – Skidrow (5.4 MiB, 240 hits) 4m this forum n past crack again did eveything again bt still didnt work even deleted systemdetection.dll after it said ubisoft game launcher error: error code 2. i even tried the PUP (Possibly Unwanted Program) as some 1 said bt dat also didnt help.. my laptop is higher requirements than they asked.. please some 1 help me i tried everyting u said bt still getting error2..

Hi im having this problem in the crack skidrow folder there is a dll and my anti virus says its a “virus” and i ignored it then after that i tried copy paste it on the directory it says about need permission to everyone but im using admin how can i fix this!

I have downloaded the game and playd for less than 5min and i get like “black screen” i can hear all the sounds and move but i cant see any 1 or anything,i only something about the background like some sort of mountain… If i change resolution everything comes back seenable but after couple of minutes same thing happens =/

Hi when i start the game, a program opens for a split second. Then after like 10 sec a box opens and it says: Ubisoft Game Launcher error code 2.
When i delete/rename the systemdetection.dll it the same but another box opens and it says: Can’t find systemdetection.dll
I dont use AVG i use ESET Smart Protection. But i tried to disable the protections but its the same!

Did everything as suggested. Game even launches up to even main menu where it says press any key, but then i get the message “Game.lost connection.Resume” then it kicks out of the game. Please help!

I get the game running and all but the problem is that when i run the game, it lags. I get to the start menu, click play and it works. But as soon as I get in-game, it starts to lag = its really slow and it like hacks itself forward. I have a Hp Pavilion dv6 and playing games like mass effect 2 workes fine, so there has to be some problem with this download. Please help!

when i try to copy contents of the patch into game directory, i’m told “their is not enough space on conviction.. You need an additional 17.5MB to copy these files”. I just can’t copy the contents, why?

Ive installed it and it works exept when I complete a misson on singleplayer and when Im done with it the game crashes so I must Open the game again. It is kinda annoying. Please help.
I have re-named systemdetection.dll to ystemdetection.dll. But should i delete the whole file? Please help.

I have installed the game using the Skidrow .iso, applied the Skidrow crack, then applied the Skidrow 1.03 patch and crack. I’ve cracked both the Conviction and the Ubisoft Game Launcher folder. Whenever I attempt to load the game, it starts up and then brings me to a screen with a Splinter Cell character standing over a wrecked room; a hazy red cloud with three lights in it is above him. I can rotate the mouse and try to move the character with WASD, but never reach a menu screen.
I do not understand why this is occurring, and I haven’t seen anyone else report this. If anyone has any advice for this problem, I would greatly appreciate it.

Yesterday i ran a scan of the entire computer with AVG,normaly it doesnt find anything but yesterday it found a “virus” (false positive) in SCC and deleted the file without asking me.Now every time i try to play the game same thing pops-up Error Code 2.I reinstalled the game and the Ubisoft Launcher,applied SKIDROW crack again,even placed exepctions in AVG for every file of SCC,but nothing i still get the same error,i’ve read your post about issue and did everything but still it wont work.Please Help.

Spot on info! I had some problems before I updated my directX and then the AVG issues but so long as u allow the ubiorbitapi_ whatever file it works fine!!

i downloaded the torrent from kickasstorents, i couldnt find the .iso file but i autoran it and installed the game, than i downloaded the crack and replaced the files in the crack. but when i try to start the game it says something about setting the “RenderGamma@L3s@@YAXM@Z” do u know wat this means?? and did i do anything wrong

hi .. i just downloaded the game but it gives an error saying 256 mb required. Is there any way to run it on 128 mb. My system is Windows 7 ultimate(32 – bit) with AMD Phenox X3 and NVEDIA GeForce 8300 128 mb graphic card and 4 gb ram.

Appearently how you said it the game has “rejected” your video card, if you bought this game and let it run the computer comoponent verify that comes with the game it’d tell you that your video card is not good enough… Sorry mate but you cant play the game unless you change your video card (Or there may be a way to bypass that and then your game would crash every time you load…) Sorry again.

AND ALSO APPLIED THE UPDATES!!
BUT WHEN I CLICK ON PLAY ….
THEN UBISOFT AUTOPATCH COMES FOR FEW SECONDS AND THEN IT DISAPPEAR!!
