Anno 1404 – City Startting Turorial v1.0

When you start in continuous mode you will only have a

• small warehouse

You begin your city by building:

• marketplace
• 2 or 3 lumberjack’s huts
• 2 fisherman’s huts
• small market building
• houses (until you run out of wood)

! use your marketplace to deny ascension rights, this way houses will not “evolve” and use up resources if you don’t want them to.

Then wait for more wood to build more houses and add another 1 or 2 lumberjack’s huts.

When you have proximally 30 houses you should add:

• Church
• 2^nd small marketplace
• 2 or 3 cider farms

Now your peasants should want to ascent, start granting a couple of them ascension rights so citizens will come to live in your city.

When you have a couple of citizens you will be offered a ship by Lord Northburg, buy the ship. Now buy some tools from Lord Northburg and use the ship to take them to your city.

“TIP: You don’t have to connect the harbor to city and cider farms to city, just connect them to a warehouse, or ( if near ) harbor, saves allot of space and Money.”
