One week ago, Blizzard announced that the beta would start this month, but has now confirmed that the beta has launched. Initially, the beta would have started much earlier, but was postponed because the new functionality of Battle.net was not ready. Blizzard opened the sign-up for the beta as early as May 2009, but had to announce in November that the test would not take place until 2010. The developer had previously stated that the game was postponed to 2010, which led to some unrest among shareholders of parent company Activision Blizzard.

Blizzard has also posted the minimum system requirements for the beta of StarCraft II announced on the support pages. The developer of the new RTS stressed that these specs are liable to change and therefore not definitive. The requirements are modest, according to the specs page that Blizzard has made. A 2.2-GHz processor meets the minimum and the beta requires at least 1GB memory and Windows XP SP3 is played. For Windows 7 and Vista is 1.5 GB.

Blizzard also announced that 4GB of free disk space required will be minimal and that the type of video card GeForce 6600GT or ATI Radeon 9800 Pro and that it should be a minimum of 128MB memory is available.

On Wednesday Blizzard announced the closed beta started and thousands of players joined the game on the new Battle.net. A Mac version of the beta software is not available at the start, but will come when the beta progresses are available, as is mentioned in the faq.

The best part about all this is that it wont take long for the beta to leak! Which means its likely that we will soon all be playing!

I’m guessing that everybody that comes here is looking for a way to play the Starcraft II beta without a beta key?

Well i guess I’m right anyways, and this is how it’s done, remember this is still like a beta crack and it’s not fully functional it does include the following functionality:

• Define races, starts location, colors, types, teams;
• Read maps informations like: name, author, description (multilanguage);
• Select map and difficulty;
• Quickly download/upload maps from/to our main server;
• Use game tweaks (FPS, Textures, etc);
• Restore original files (In case you have problems);
• Play official/hacked maps without modifying original files;
• Play replay in one click.

Although its possible to only use LazyLaunch we recommend you to download the starcraft II – beta launcher application as well, this for the simple reason that this wonderful piece of software automatically places maps and files in the right folders for you, and saves you a hell of a lot of work.

Trojan Warning

LazyLaunch2 does NOT contain a virus, its a false positive. Most anti-virus softwarewill indeed give a Trojan warning. This file does not contain a Trojan, it contains code that looks similar to the way Trojans are scripted ( a packer algorithm) because it does in fact hack and interfere with the game while your playing. This means it is not harmful for your PC and in fact does not contain a Trojan.

Installation

1. Open the folder “StarCraft II Beta enUS 13891 Installer”.
2. Run “Installer.exe”, starcraft II beta client installation should start.
3. Start the installation, and finish it.
4. Now start the beta client. It should connect to the Blizzard servers and automatically update to the latest release.

Cracking

1. Extract the Starcraft II – Beta Launcher zip (Download the latest version above)
2. Copy all files that popped out directly into your starcraft II installation folder
3. Extract the Lazylaunch2 zip
4. Copy all files that popped out directly into your starcraft II installation folder
5. Add Maps & AI (read below on how to do this)
6. Run the Starcraft II Beta Launcher
7. Select your Maps and AI folder
8. Your good to go! let us know if you run into problems, but make sure to check at the Known Errors first.

Copy the maps you have downloaded into the “Maps” folder you just added to your starcraft directory

Hi there starcraft lovers (you have to be since you are desperately trying to get your hands on a way to play Starcraft II while its still in the beta testing fase!). Well we were providing a awesome crack to you, and we are providing a new crack for you aswell!!! . The old crack (Starcraft II beta: Cracked) worked great untill beta build 0.10.0.14803 showed up which in fact screwed up the crack and broke everthing.

We did provide a solution for you guys, which was to uninstall the crack and reinstall it without updating. However somebody has provided us with a much better solution, giving you the possibility to play with the latest beta builds! Also, because you can now play with the latest beta build… can create your own maps!!! now is that awesome or what? simply update to the latest build and you should get the official Galaxy Map Editor to create your own maps with.

Starcraft II: All-In-One User Interface

This crack is a very easy installer that includes everyting you need… the login bypass, the lazylauncher 2, and starcrack AI 7.0. The installation is really easy and all thats left for you to get is maps and maybe some additional AI.

Why didnt we promote it untill now?

This “new” starcraft crack has in fact been around just as long as the Starcraft II beta launcher we provide. The thing is that the Launcher was way further and gave so much less errors that it wasnt worth it to try the all-in-one user interface crack. Now the thing is, the beta launcher is no longer supported by the developer and because of that its out dated (you cant play with it anymore after patching beyond beta build version 0.10.0.14803) and the all-in-one user interface is not outdated!

What files do i need?

Alright there are in fact three things you need, the beta client, the crack and some maps. Ofcourse we provide this all to you!

• A pc that has the minimal system requirements
• Starcraft II: beta client
• Starcraft II: All-In-One user interface

What does it support?

With the All-In-One user interface you can select:

• game type;
• game speed;
• game type;
• races;
• up to eight players;
• Set starting locations;
• customize team play options such (like ally unit control and resource share);
• Select multiple AI’s to play against;
• Watch replays.

Installation & Cracking

1. Open the folder “Starcraft II Beta enUS 13891 Installer”.
2. Run “Installer.exe”, Starcraft II beta client installation should start.
3. Start the installation, and finish it.
4. Now start the beta client. It should connect to the Blizzard servers and automatically update to the latest release.

5. Extract the Starcraft II – All-In-One User Interface zip (Download the latest version above)
6. Run the installer that pops out
7. install it to its RECOMENDED LOCATION (default path should be: C:Program Files (maybe x86)Starcraft II BetaSC2ALLin1)
   • Warning: IF the installation is not installing to the right subfoder and deletes your game directory its because you made the mistake of installing it there and now it remembers it! so go and extract the setup manually and place the folder there by your self!
8. Point the installer to the location where you keep your maps
9. complete the instalation and run the shortcut that it made on your desktop
   • Warning: Windows Vista and Windows 7 users have to run it as administrator (right click the shortcut > properties > compatibility)
10. Your good to go and get your game on! let us know if you run into problems, but make sure to check at the Known Errors first.

Watching replays

For better compatibility in replays use the latest cache files. The way you use these is different for Windows XP and Windows 7 or Vista.
First download the latest patch files:

• Cache files for patch 11 download
• Cache files for patch 12 download
• Cache files for patch 13 download
• Cache files for patch 15 download

Now do the following:

1. Extract the cache files;
2. Now for Windows 7 or Vista: Place the cache files into the directory: C:UsersYour_UsernameAppDataLocalBlizzard EntertainmentBattle.netCache;
3. For Windows XP place them into C:Documents and SettingsUSERNAMELocal SettingsApplication DataBlizzard EntertainmentBattle.netCache.

Q: Is this launcher legit?
A: Yes, it is.

Q: The Launcher still work after 31-5-2010 (Beta phase 1 End)?
A: Yes, it will.

Q: I have a beta key but I also want to play offline with this launcher, can I do that?
A: Yes,the launcher does not modify any game files and it will not interfere with Blizzard.

Q: My replays wont work, why?
A: Make sure you have the latest cache(these must be cache files of the latest patch, so do not expect the if you go and download cache files that say are for patch 13 and there are no other newer ones, that your replays must work, you have to wait until cache files for the latest game patch are released and also from what I tested cache files always worked to play replays so if you get your cache files of the latest patch from someone else, there is a chance they will not work) files and that you are playing a replay of a game made in the latest game patch and you have the latest game patch installed.

Q: I got a problem with the AI, what should I do?
A: The AI and launcher are 2 different things that are simply working togheter.For AI problems post a comment

Q: The launcher wont start ,what should I do?
A: Make sure you have .NET 3.5 SP1 , and the verdana font

Q: Launcher will not launch the game, what should I do?
A: Make sure the launcher or game is not blocked by the antivirus or firewall, and if you are a Vista or Win7 user run the launcher as administrator or turn off UAC

Q: I want to make my own dificulty level, how can I do that?
A: You can manualy do it(which might screw your game if you have no idea what you are doing) or just wait until the launcher will have the AI editor

Q: I’ve got a problem but the FAQ didn’t help, what should I do?
A: Try to do a clean instal following Charlemagne installation guide

Q: I have downloaded the file but it has no extension, what should I do?
A: Just add the extension “.exe” without the quotes in the file name. (e.g. mysetupfile.exe)

Q: Starcraft II patched to a new version what should I do?
A: Check for any new updates of the launcher, if there are any download them, delete the one you previously had, and install this new one, also check for cache updates and if there are any delete your current cache and place the new.

Q: When I run the launcher the User Interface seems “off place” (borders, buttons, etc.) what is wrong?
A: You have set your Windows Font DPI settings over or under 100%. The launcher works only with fonts set at 100% DPI!

Q: Can I play the game with this launcher without an internet conection?
A: Yes, you can.

Q: Can I play custom maps?
A: Yes you can as long as they don’t have triggers (besides the default) and are made like the blizzard maps.So if you want to make your own map to launch it with this launcher, first load in the editor an official map and study it.For any other maps you want to try out load it in the map editor and press the “Test Document” button.

Q: I get an error msg “file not found” every time i try to launch a game why?
A: Your Antivirus / Firewall / UAC / or Windows Rights are preventing the tool for running correctly and create the files needed! Even worst those file may be deleted automatically or blocked by your AV software! Turn them all OFF and reinstall the launcher and run it as Administrator!

Q: When I press the Launch button but nothing happens! No error, nothing, the game just doesn’t start up! Why?
A: Possible the game is “stuck” running in your memory! Press ctrl+alt+del open Task-Manager locate “sc2.exe” process, and END TASK it, or just restart your computer.

Q: I downloaded some map files but i don’t know where to place them. What should I do?
A: Follow the solution for your operating system:
-For Win XP users: place them in C:Documents and Settings*YourUserName*My DocumentsStarCraft II BetaMaps
-For Vista and Win7 users: C:Users*YourUserName*DocumentsStarCraft II BetaMaps
